We innoculated our aquaponics system with Worm compost tea  in mid April to help start the cycle of beneficial bacteria and micro-organisms that the plants desire. We will be adding 60 yellow perch to the system when they arrive the week of the 26th. We are starting conservatively with about 20% of the total fish capacity of the system. The water has been cycling for about two weeks without fish which allows the water to off-gas and remove any harmfuls substances that may be present in the water like chlorine or chloramines. We'll have lots of pictures of the fish when they arrive!
