We so appreciate everyone that took the time to vote in the Maxwell House Drops of Good internet contest, Growhaus won a $50k renovation. This will go a long way to building out the marketplace that will offer fresh vegetables and fish produced at the GrowHaus as well as a variety of other high quality foods to the local community.
The tilapia are getting HUGE, as are all the tomatoes, broccoli, and chard growing in the system. This week during the youth outreach seed-to-seed program, students will be adding bluegill to the Growing Power style system and preparing to add some vertical towers.
More progress is happening every day in the rest of the greenhouse. The climate battery is complete and pumping cool air from 3’ underground to help control the daytime temperatures. The newly renovated space is being prepared for an NGS hydrofarm that will be growing lettuce and herbs. Next on the agenda will be the commercial scale aquaponics system.
Stop by for a tour any Friday or sign up for the Introduction to Aquaponics Workshop, July 9th.
Also, be sure to check out the latest YouTube video from DiginColorado of Coby Gould talking about GrowHaus progress and future plans. So much already accomplished and so many exciting things still to come.
